IS IT TRUE that young Indonesian people have a low interest in entrepreneurship? well that what they said in some seminar about business and entrepreneurship, i don’t know what the theme or the person who spoke in that seminar ( i never bother to mind anyway, i’m only mind the content) but i read it at ‘Kampus’ segment ‘Pikiran Rakyat’.

In reality i know there’s a lot of young people have a big ambition in business, in fact some of my close friends is a young entrepreuner.. but there’s a lot of factors that influence someone before making a decision to enter the business world, like my friend then said, for young adult people parents is a very influential factor, and that is true, in Indonesia the culture is that parents will be very proud if their children wearing a uniform or a suit if they go to work, usually this mean to work for someone with overtime exploitation work hour and low salary, but there is a sense of safety, good image and high profile in the society that they can gain..
this is a legacy from our former colonizer that gave a consistent indoctrination during they colonial.. as a result, up until now native indonesian people are being slaved in their own land..
I must say that i’m very proud of my friends and other people at my age with a strong will to become enterpreneur… most people will choose to establish themselves first and maybe 10 years later they will think about starting their own business.. some of my friends told me that sometimes they were getting tired and wanted to run away, ” why am i doing these things, i’m still haven’t feel the result from what i have done.. while i can stay in one path that is more secure” they said, yeah.. the path they take is a hard one, and a very valuable one too..
